She and her two sisters, Milou and Denise (one stronger than he was deported to Ravensbrück), were the only survivors of their family. His mother died of typhus in Auschwitz and his brother and father were killed in Lithuania.
Having achieved the degree in 1943, before being deported, he studied law and political science, which finds her husband, Antoine Veil, with whom married the 26 October 1946 and with whom he had three children.
Simone Veil is internationally known for his ministry from law enacted in 1975 that allowed the legalization of abortion in France. Since then, their positions and statements are followed by both supporters and opponents of abortion regulation policies.
